If you want to find out about me and my years in the jewelry business go to the homepage and click the about me and you can look at that if interested.

Here is a ring I built utilizing the many tools I have in my studio. I make many of my hammers and forming tools and many of my stamps and surface embellishment. This ring is built completely by hand from raw silver forms. Silver comes from my supplier in sheet, wires formed in many shapes which are round, triangle, half round, square, and low dome. I start with this raw silver as it comes from the supplier and alter it according to my needs. I have rolling mills and other methods of altering the silver.

Since building by hand and hand fabricated, do not look for perfection as machine made jewelry is. This piece of jewelry is handcrafted and shows a unique handcrafted fabrication. I build my jewelry to last a lifetime with heavier thickness of silver so that it will last. I have been building jewelry for 43 years now and hundreds of thousands of pieces of jewelry and have never had a single piece come back to me broken. I pride myself upon building a piece of jewelry that will not only last and is well-built. The strip of silver that is wrapped around the stone that holds the stone in is called a bezel. When I buy bezel strip I am offered three thicknesses of it, I always choose the thickest gauge available. It is hard to use, it does not form around the stone very well and requires tremendous wrist strength to get it to smooth up smoothly against the stone and not have any gaps or wrinkles which is you see I have accomplished. This again will ensure that your ring will last a lifetime.

The stone in this ring was hand cut by me in my studio and was cut correctly to again last a lifetime without falling out of the ring, or breaking or cracking under normal wear. A properly cut stone is cut the widest at the bottom of the stone and then slopes inward with a gentle curve. When they bezel is formed around the stone, because the stone is wider at the bottom this ensures that the stone will not fall out.

When I cut my turquoise stones I look for unique patterns in each stone and how to maximize the best beauty hidden within the stone. I also try when cutting my stones to end up with a very unique shape.
This is a ring I have two stones in it..both are rare stones and part of my 45 years stash of stones from back when you could find some of these rare stone's ...this ring has rare Mediterranean red coral..this coral is in its original color and not dyed..coral has a grain to it and can have blimishes and holes eaten into it..

This Stone comes from the Old Morenci mine in Arizona .The stone is a very nice very good quality from this mine. This comes from my stash of over my forty years . I always collected the unique and best stone ..
This is old collector turquoise from my stash of 40 years.
