+ modern shape & fit allow you to wear the shawl with the point at your back OR turned to the front & worn as an oversized kerchief
+ styling note: when wearing as a kerchief, tuck the 'wing points' (ends) into the front of the garment & gently pull them down between the inside of the garment & your body (as pictured) -- it will stay in this position & not shift as you move
