Vintage carnival glass 5-piece water set "Inverted Strawberry" by the Guernsey Glass Co. in Amethyst. This is a reproduction of the original pattern produced by the Cambridge Glass Co.

Pitcher and tumblers have a "B" mark on the inside of the base,

A maker's mark of a capital B is sometimes erroneously attributed to Boyd's Crystal Art Glass, Inc., which actually uses a B within a diamond marking. Guernsey also used a capital B mark. The company was owned and operated by Harold Bennett, but only produced collectible glassware from 1967 through the late-1970's.

Excellent condition w/o chips/cracks.

The listing was grossly misleading. There was no mention of the loose, wobbly base, second hole where the arm had been reattached, and missing red paint on the hat. In fact, when I re-examined the photos, these details seem intentionally missed altogether! The photos show a nutcracker soldier in Excellent condition. On a scale of Poor-Mint Condition, this one ranks Good/Okay, but certainly NOT Excellent.
It is an antique after all, so I'm giving it as a gift to my sister-in-law as is, but I feel that I paid for an Excellent condition antique and received a lesser condition.

Hope, I’m sorry that you are unhappy with your purchase. If you had contacted us privately we would have been more than willing to have the item returned for a full refund. As to its condition, it was gifted to me by a family member who purchased it new many years ago, and has been displayed on a wall shelf, solidly standing without any wobbles. If it had been previously repaired, it was unknown to me and not visible during our inspection. I will agree that it had a very minor loss of red paint in one area on top of the hat. Again, sorry that it did not meet your expectations.
