A Revamped, Hand-Dyed, Vintage 1950s Vanity Fair Slip!

In the 1964 comedy Kiss Me Stupid, the beautiful Kim Novak played Polly Pistol, the local roadhouse prostitute. Kim's character is seen wearing a sexy slip beneath her dress in a hot, sultry scene with Dean Martin. Of course Kim's most famous role was Madeleine in Hitchcock's masterpiece Vertigo. Kim Novak was among Hollywood's most enigmatic sex symbols of the 50's and early 60's. She exuded an intimidating intellect alongside an intense passionate sexuality.

This 1950s vintage Vanity Fair slip has been hand dyed a breathtaking shade of purple. The exact color is the purple seen on the dress form. It features a lace bodice and hemline along with a detachable plum silk flower pin. There are 4 tiny fingertip darker pigment variations on the sides and back of the slip which came up during the dye process; however they are hardly noticeable. The condition of the slip is flawless! The shoulder straps are adjustable satin. Tag reads Vanity Fair 36.

Measuremets are as follows:

Bust: 36"
Waist: 28"
Hips: 40"
Length: 30" (underarm to hem)
