Description

This metal is full of instant charm and character and adds a touch of history to interiors. Give your wall or kitchen decor a stylish, charming accent with the pewter plate.

This decorative plate was made in Germany in 1930s.
The detailed scene in a pub is depicted on the wall plate.
It may be hung onto the wall; there is a special hole on the back side (photo 3).

On the back side there is an angel mark which was used as a sign of the very best from the middle of the 17th century. However, this kind of angel marks is not so old and only used to underline the quality in keeping with the best traditions.

Diameter - 7,4'' (18,7 cm)
Depth - 0,7'' (1,7 cm)
Weight - 0,6 lb. (263 g)

The vintage plate is in good condition. There are some stains on surface, they are seen in photos.

Pewter has been used since the ancient times. It was known by the Egyptians and later by the Romans. Pewter was the chief tableware until the making of porcelain. Nowadays pewter is still in use, mostly for producing decorative or specialty items.
