According to their website In 1970, the self-employed designer Wolf Peter Bree and his wife Renate founded the BREE COLLECTION in Hanover. The company founders were fascinated by modern design and innovative materials from the very outset. Natural leather gave them the opportunity to turn their ideas into reality in an ideal way. They also appreciate the material because of its sustainability and use it in its pure form, true to the motto "Back to nature".
The products captured the Zeitgeist of the early 1970ies with the synthesis of form and function, natural materials and high-quality workmanship. BREE shoulder bags, uni bags and backpacks really cause a stir. The "New Satchel" (1975) becomes a cult object and marks the start of BREE's success story.
