DESCRIPTION:
This is a PDF crochet pattern for a beanie with a hole in the top to allow for a ponytail or messy bun. The pattern is worked from the bottom up with a slip stitch ribbing. The hole uses an elastic hair tie to stretch over a bun but still stay snug for a ponytail. Keep your hair up and out of the way but still stay warm! This pattern ALSO includes a closed-top slouchy beanie option and a "low" ponytail option. This pattern coordinates perfectly with my Charisma Mittens pattern. The pattern has been designed to work with any weight of yarn and any gauge. It is very easy to customize for size or gauge.

SIZES:
Toddler, child, teen/adult, and large adult are listed in the pattern.

SKILL LEVEL:
Easy. Stitches used include single crochet, double crochet, single crochet 2 stitches together (optional), slip stitch, and invisible join.

TERMINOLOGY:
This pattern is written in STANDARD US CROCHET TERMS, in ENGLISH only.

MATERIALS NEEDED:
This pattern has been designed for any yarn (crochet hook sizes vary):
Worsted Weight #4 yarn: 4-5 oz or less and "I" (5.5 mm) & "J" (6 mm) hooks
Chunky Weight #5 yarn: 4-5 oz or less and "K" (6.5 mm) & "L" (8 mm) hooks
Super Bulky Weight #6 yarn: 6-7 oz or less and "N" (9 mm) hook

Also needed: Measuring tape, elastic hair tie, yarn needle, and stitch marker.

Pattern includes detailed instructions and a photo. *Again, please note: You will be purchasing the pattern only, not a finished product. Do not purchase this listing expecting a finished item.*

HOW TO DOWNLOAD YOUR PATTERN ON ETSY:

After purchasing a pattern on Etsy, you'll see a link to the Downloads page. Here, you can download all the files associated with your order. Downloads are available once your payment is confirmed. If you paid with PayPal or a credit card on Etsy, confirmation may take a few minutes. You'll see a notice at the top of the page if your payment is still processing. Some people may have trouble downloading digital files on a mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet. If you're using the Etsy app, try using your mobile browser instead. If all else fails, please access your order on a desktop computer. (The file can then be emailed to your mobile device.)

Once your payment clears, you can also retrieve your pattern two different ways:

1. Check your email. Etsy will send an email to the email address that you have on file with ETSY. (This is not necessarily your PayPal email address. It is YOUR responsibility to know which email address you have used for Etsy.) In this email, you will find the download instructions. Be sure to check ALL your email addresses if you have not received this email, as well as your spam folder. Look for an email from "transaction@etsy.com".

2. Alternatively, you can sign into your Etsy account and retrieve your pattern at any time, as long as the payment has cleared. On the upper right side of your screen, move your mouse over the words "Your Account", and select "Purchases & Reviews" from the drop-down menu. This will take you to a list of all your purchases on Etsy. To the right of the pattern order, click on the blue button that says "Download Files".

Troubleshooting for Etsy:

If your payment is still processing, the "Download Files" button will be gray and you will not be able to click it.

If nothing happens when you click the download link, then please contact Etsy's support team at https://www.etsy.com/help/contact (see below first).
