I have gone ape and am bringing the price on this gorilla wayyyyy down. In fact, down another whopping sixteen bucks!

I am officially leaving my comfort zone of smaller things, and selling an object that weighs about a pound and is between 12 and 13 inches high. He is the gorilla bank that has resided in my bathroom for several years, all the while eating a banana and staring at whoever enters the door. But now he is ready to move on to a new environ and be watchful wherever you put him. Note that I think of the bank as a male gorilla. It is okay if you want to turn him into a her. I.e., a trans-gorilla, I guess!

Marked on the back side at the base, it says that he was made by New York Vinyl Prod. Inc. in 1971. Yup, he is about 39 years old!

A very sturdy stiff vinyl bank, with a stopper (also with the co. name and date) that is so snug when it is plugged in, you have to practically break it to get the money out. (Finally, I just covered the bottom with wide packaging tape whenever I was stashing coins in it, and I set the stopper aside.) If you want to be sure it is hard to get your money out, go ahead and plug that stopper in! Note that he has an itsy bitsy blemish on his left eyebrow, and a few smudges on his base, but is pretty much in excellent condition. This gorilla is one tough character.

BTW, I saw this bank on Ebay today for the ridiculous price of $195. Go figure!
My price is for the wonderful bank at a more reasonable price with shipping and handling charges added that probably will not cover all the costs (at least not for in the U.S.)

This is a vey special bank, and possibly somewhat rare..
