Unless otherwise stated, all vintage jewelry is in excellent vintage condition. I spend a great deal of time in the hand selection, research and care of the vintage jewelry featured here at MetalsmithMVintage.

Bear in mind, when I photographs an issue, a macro lens is used to enlarge/magnify the issue, so you will know exactly what we are talking about. This will greatly exaggerate the issue so you can see it!

FAQs

I sell vintage items in original condition. However, if a customer wants a custom option, such as converting a pair of clip earrings to pierced, I will do so. Yes, there is a fee for doing so, and I confirm with you that to change the earrings will lessen it's collectible value. Conversion of earrings, or any vintage jewelry is done by written request, and with full payment of both the item & conversion charge. Please contact me for details.
For necklace extensions, please check my shop, I have several necklace extension pieces available for sale.
Vintage jewelry, décor and furnishings may require some extra tlc when cleaning and storing.
For jewelry: NEVER use harsh chemicals. Simply wipe the item with a soft cloth and store properly. Properly store in a clean, dry area. (not a bathroom) A jewelry box or case, with compartments for each piece. Metal parts should not come into contact with gems. Hanging necklaces is very good. Or store in small jewelry boxes.
Care should be taken that makeup or perfumes or other liquids do not come in contact with your vintage costume jewelry, and pearls. More detail care instructions maybe found on many vintage jewelry sites online.
For furnishing, dishes, etc, either hand wash with gentle soap and dry, or wipe with a damp cloth.
Gift wrapping is available! Please contact me if the item is a gift, to be directly shipped to the recipient. Also please note! You do need to add their name and ship to address in paypal or with the Etsy payments, at the time you pay for the items. I print shipping labels directly from the orders, and cannot change the labels.
I do not offer a wholesale option on my vintage. I hand select every item in my shop, carefully curating for price, quality and condition.
I am happy to provide as many detailed photographs, measurements, and answers as needed to help provide the best answers to your questions. For clothing, I realize vintage sizing has nothing to do with modern sizing. Which is why I prefer to use a tape measure. Please feel free to ask questions.
