Description

So... where were you in 1987? If you were a teen you were likely a fan of Tina Turner [ even if you didn't like Ike...] and you are now in your 40's nostalgic for the good old days when 45 rpm's still had some respect and mp3's represented some rank in the military police. If this is you this is just the bag you need. If it's your spouse or your mom this could be the gift you give that is never forgotten...

This is a genuine Tina Turner vinyl handbag with dual fabric handles straps sporting Tina with a classic 1980's hairdo on one side and her 1987 '45 RPM' of 'What You Get Is What You See' on the other side. In between Tina and the 45 is a handbag lined with...your guessed it...black vinyl.

The dimensions of this bag are

Length: 7.25 inches
Height: 6.75 inches
Width: 4.25 inches

Handle drop: 5 inches

Condition:

This bag is in good condition. There are no rips, tears or holes. However, one of the many rivets holding a side to the top has come off and there is a small separation. [ See photo 5 collage center top photo] However, this has not compromised the structural integrity of the bag and it still functions fine.

The actual 45 RPM record comes with this bag but unfortunately it's glued in so it's not much good for listening to. However, I was able to do a little research on this 45 and come up with Tina's music video and the lyrics to give you the experience this bag demands.

Turns out this may have been Tina's first effort at 'country rock'. According to Wikipedia, Eric Clapton was on the guitar(s), it was popular in Austrialia and it was used for a campaign by the New South Wales Rugby League.

Here is a link to the lyrics... http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/tinaturner/whatyougetiswhatyousee.html

Oh yeah, and here is a link to a site called "25 Photos Of ’80s Hairstyles So Bad They’re Actually Good" to get you in the mood for the bag... https://www.buzzfeed.com/briangalindo/25-photos-of-80s-hairstyles-so-bad-theyre-actually-good?utm_term=.qfJBw3E5o#.ukpnqGlv9

So all you need now is the bag...

Have a great Holiday!

Greg

GUARANTEED AUTHENTIC OR ALL MONEY BACK. We understand there are counterfeits and knockoffs of vintage products by well known manufacturers for sale all over the internet and in other market places. We use multiple procedures to assure the products we sell are authentic. One procedure we use is to research authenticity through vintage manufacturer catalogs and to report our research in the listing. Sometimes we include a snippet from the catalog to corroborate our research and educate you about the history of the bag. The purpose of reporting what the manufacturer says about its product in the catalog is to verify our research on the authenticity and to educate you about how a vintage product was portrayed in the past. It is not intended to hold our shop out as a representative of the manufacturer. However, if it turns out we are wrong or our research is not correct we guarantee that if we sell you a product represented to be manufactured by a reputable company like Coach, Cole Haan, Ghurka, Filson, Christian Dior, Hartmann, Gucci, or any other company and you have competent evidence that the product is not authentic we will refund your purchase price and delivery cost. In addition, we will pay for return postage.
