This is every butterfly and moth-lover's dream guide. With 670 colour depictions and beautifully illustrated throughout, it is an in depth study of native moths and caterpillars. There is some tanning to the spine of the dust jacket and owner's inscription to flyleaf but otherwise a tight, clean text. This is the complete two volumes set. The colour pictures are amazing and there are in depth descriptions. South was an English entomologist specialising in lepidoptera. His skill and interest are very much in evidence in this fascinating study.
