Description

Reading this wartime magazine gave me quite the education about the responsibilities given to women during World War II. The sacrifices and support given to the war effort were significant, necessary and appreciated by our servicemen and our country.

This issue has been previously loved. There are tape repairs at the fold and on the cover, along with a small tear at the lady's face. The cover is detached from the spine. Inside, it is beautifully intact. This magazine is colorful and includes full fictional stories, meal planning and recipes. However, the advertising is the most entertaining part of this periodical.

It would make a wonderful gift to the vintage lady in your life who lived during this trying era. I can see it as a conversation starter to engage a young person in discussion about tough times and sacrifice. Lessons from our elders about patriotism and true sacrifice are much needed today.
