Enter the information for personalization in the NOTES TO SELLER box at checkout. You also can include any special instructions there. Font changes are possible. Changes in the actual art may require extra fees depending on the work required.

We send digital proofs to give you an approximate idea of what your customized item will look like. It is usually the actual computer text or graphic that we will use, sometimes superimposed over a photo or graphic of your item. You will receive a .PDF proof within 2 days through ETSY conversations to approve the design. Please respond promptly. Ordering a custom item requires your participation. Your delay in responding may hold up other orders as well since we tend to run similar items together.
We only create proofs for purchased items. If you have not purchased the item, please do so first. Be assured that we don't produce anything until you are happy with the proof.

If you've purchased the item but still haven't received a proof, check ETSY conversations and you may find it waiting for you. We communicate through Etsy Conversations so make sure you are signed up to receive notification of any messages sent you (go to Account Settings/Emails or go to Settings/Notifications in the iOS app). In the case of a customer being non-responsive after 3 days, we will go ahead and create your item according to the proof we sent.
No, sorry. There are not enough hours in my day to make proofs for people that intend to buy. Most people want reassurance but sadly, many take my designs to a cheaper shop.

I prefer to allocate my time to paying customers; they deserve that. If you like my design aesthetic, then trust that you and I will come up with something great together. If we don't get it right the first time, then we will on the second, third or fourth try. I do not proceed until you are happy with the design (unless you don't respond at all).
Not a problem. Just ask. We have thousands of font choices. Look around our entire shop for other ideas. If we did not capture your initial idea, please let us know what specifically didn't work for you, and how you would like it changed. Sometimes when ordering it's helpful if you let us know what kind of 'vibe' you're looking for - playful, romantic, country, quirky, rustic, etc.

Unfortunately, once you have approved the proof, it is too late for any changes. Your job is headed to the laser and will become permanent.
This is why we send a proof. Please double and triple check all names and dates for spelling errors. If this does happen, don't fret. Contact us and we will be happy to give you a code to reorder the item at a discounted price.
Colors may be different on the final product than they appear on your computer screen. Every effort has been made to accurately portray colors on our part. Unfortunately, we will not be able to replace or exchange an item if the color is not "exactly" as you thought it would be. Please let me know before you order if you need something to match exactly.
Because wood is a natural product, there may occasionally be minor knots or what some would consider flaws. We tend to think of them as interesting features that add a uniqueness to your item. We do our best to avoid unsightly markings but cannot always avoid the minor ones.

Granite, marble and stone materials are natural products and will exhibit typical veining, specks and pock marks. Most are appropriate for outdoor use but care should be taken with thin tiles as they may crack when heavy weight is placed on them. Although many of these items are okay left outside in the winter, we recommend taking them in.
We reuse shipping materials whenever possible. Please forgive us if your box has a bit of writing on it or wrinkled bubble wrap. We're just doing our part to save the planet.
Leave the date you need the gift by in the notes to seller. You can mark an order as a gift during the check out process, and a gift receipt and message of your choice will be sent.

Change the ship to address during the ordering process to the recipient rather than messaging me separately. That is the only way to ensure it will arrive where you intend it to.
