Standard Fret Wire is Nickle Silver. Stainless Steel is available for a $20.00 premium.
Standard pickups are my PF2 humbuckers. Electrically similar to a mini humbucker, but with no adjustable pole pieces, and no backplate. The bobbins are wrapped in copper foil which shields everything and grounds the pole pieces. Usually they run between 6K and 7K ohms.
Current standard finish is a gun stock oil varnish with rottensone ground on the more porous woods like Mahogany. I normally bring the body up to a satin sheen, and the necks have the thinnest possible buildup, giving them a very fast, natural feel.. I can also do a "Barn Burst" on the lighter colored woods like poplar and pine, which is painted with milk paint and then sanded back to make it look like old barn wood. I am also now offering a flat acrylic finish.

I purchased the Poorboy #111. I love it. It's clean and simple yet really well done. It feels great and plays lots of styles nicely. I really am surprised at how much I like the Goncalo Alves neck having never played one before. I'm already thinking about getting the Instigator! Thanks Dave!

Dave makes a great guitar. I'm lucky enough to own #72. It's a mahogany body with a camaru neck. I can't explain how beautiful this guitar is. The pictures do no justice to this wood. The sound is clear, beautiful, and has sustain for days. Worth every penny and more. Thank You Dave!

Exceptional! If you are into minimalistic bare bone bass with lots of tones, this bass is for you. This bass is gorgeous! The headstock and the neck are one solid piece of Ipe with a worn feel to the neck that is very comfortable with impeccably dressed frets. The body is Alder, with a very nicely done pain job. The bass feels super solid, but with lots of mojo. This instrument has an excellent Bare Bones Tone (to my ears) and a beautiful sustain. Mr. Wier was extremely patient and helpful throughout the whole process. He answered all my questions and then some. Outstanding experience! I will buy another bass in the future.

This is one of the most beautiful electric guitars I've ever seen and its sound matches its exterior. It's clear and fresh. The sound is clear, bright, and rich. The construction is magnificent. It's a piece of playable art. We are so glad we go it!
