This is an authentic chromolithograph published in 1887. The artist is Emma Heman Thayer

Chromolithography was invented in German in the 17th century. It is a labor intensive process used to produce the first true color prints.

This print was published by Donaldson Brothers in New York.

The subject is GENTIAN. a wildflower of the Rocky Mountains.

The print is mounted in a good quality 1" silver color frame and matted in violet, enhancing the dominant tones of the print itself.

I ship USPS Priority Mail flat rate box and will combine shipping if several items are purchased. This item fits into a large rectangular flat rate box, which will accommodate two prints of the same size.
