This is the coolest strand of faceted celluloid button beads in pastel colors of pink, purple, yellow, aqua, and clear. The strand is strung on cotton thread, with a bead insert clasp. This is the original stringing. The beads are carved or molded with a geometric dimensional pattern, and have holes offset on one side--these may have been used as buttons as well. The plastic tests as celluloid or vintage plastic--a distinctive scent under warm water. The clasp is a box style clasp that is inerted into the center of a bead with a tongue that fits into it.

The necklace is 14 1/2 inches long and about 7/8 inches wide at the widest point. The largest bead is 13mm, the smallest is 8mm.

The strand is in excellent condition with no notable flaws or damage to the beads. The clasp functions well. The cotton thread feels secure. I have another necklace just like this but with just clear beads that I will be listing as well.

A whimsical and very pretty fashion forward vintage necklace.
