Welcome to view our listing of this Vintage Mid Century Jeanette Glass & Gold Rimmed Butterfly Nut Trinket Trays Serving Dishes 4 Pc. Party Set!

This 4 pc. nut serving dishes are glass butterflies with gold painted edges. The beautiful butterfly body has two separated compartments with a raised round divider in the middle of every tray. This butterfly nut trinket tray dishes was manufactured by the Jeanette Glass Company out of Jeanette Pa in the 1950's era. All 4 Jeanette butterfly serving dishes are in good vintage condition with no chips, cracks, breaks, or repairs. However there is some fading on the gold parts of the edges.

What a unique glass butterfly dish. It has a gold rim and a very detailed raised butterfly pattern. It is a perfect example of the mid-century design. The butterfly body divides the dish into two separate compartments.

The main larger serving dish tray measures 8-1/4" at the widest wing span, 5-5/8" at the bottom wing span across by 7-3/8" in height from the top outside wing span to the bottom wing span. The middle section of the butterfly where the divider is measures 5-3/8" in height and stands 1" in height from bottom to top. The smaller butterflies measures 4-1/4" from the right to left wing span at the widest part, 2-7/8" at the bottom lower wing span, 3-7/8" from top to bottom in height and 2-3/8" in middle section, and it stands in height from bottom to top 3/4".

The Jeanette Bottle Works Company was founded in Jeanette Pa in 1887 and in 1899 they joined the machine age and became Jeanette Glass Company. They produced relish jars, automobile headlights and canning jars and expanded by 1904. They started adding household items, medical supplies, and more new machinery was added in the 1920's to produce tableware items called "Depression Glass" that is very collectible today. The Jeanette Glass Company purchased the McKee Glass Company in 1961 and produced many glass patterns until 1983 in Jeanette Pa. They shut down in 1983 and the Cherry Blossom pattern was made in crystal, blue, green jadeite, yellow, and pink colors.
