CORO, INC was founded in 1901 by Emanuel Cohn and Carl Rosenberger. The Cohn and Rosenberger boutique, or Coro for short, sold accessories like their Duette and Crown pins and costume jewelry. They produced high end jewelry under COROCRAFT in 1935 and VENDOME in 1944. During World War II, Coro produced patriotic brooches. The Coro Company declined in the 1950’s, slow to adapt to the current beaded styles. Coro finally went out of business in 1979, though they were once the largest producer of costume jewelry in the world!

To avoid tarnishing and keep that jewelry shining, clean gently with warm water and mild soap. Dry with a soft cloth. Store out of sunlight and in a jewelry bag or lined jewelry box. Enjoy your vintage brooch!
