TRIFARI costume jewelry, originally “Trifari & Trifari” (and later “Trifari, Krussman & Fishel” and finally “Trifari”) was founded by Gustavo Trifari in 1910. Trifari & Trifari dominated the costume jewelry era. Like most jewelers during World War II, Trifari switched to Sterling Silver pieces and patriotic themed pins. First Lady Mamie Eisenhower wore Trifari pieces to both inaugural balls in the ‘50s. Trifari jewelry is always monographed and the Crown Trifari maker’s mark (used from 1937 to 1969) is highly sought after as an indicator of classic vintage Trifari.

To avoid tarnishing and keep that jewelry shining, clean gently with warm water and mild soap. Dry with a soft cloth. Store out of sunlight and in a jewelry bag or lined jewelry box. Enjoy your vintage earrings!
