A unique and beautifully detailed Indian camp scene depicting two Indians one seated at a camp fire and the other standing by their canoe on the banks of a high mountain lake. They are wrapped in blankets to protect against the cold. The camp scene is on oilcloth, has hand painted details on what is possibly a transfer print. The gathered border is red satin. The backing is a red cotton fabric. The pillow case is machine stitched. It measures approx. 20" wide with the center scene at about 12" wide. ca early 1900s.

Condition: The oilcloth shows typical crackling. The satin border has some minor fraying and three small round stains.. The back of the oilcloth shows some color bleeding from the opposite side. The pillowcase is overall in very good condition with no glaring issues. It presents beautifully. There are no unpleasant tobacco related or mildew caused odors. Please view and enlarge all photos as they are an integral part of the description.
