Description

This is a unique pen of the "Steampunk" variety harkening back to the days when mechanical things were works of art. This is a "one of a kind" custom-made pen. The pen cap consists of a brass tube overlaid with brass, copper and tin plates which have been treated to simulate aging. After all are in place, the cap is cast in clear acrylic. After sufficient time for the acrylic to cure, I turn the cap on my lathe to the proper size to fit the hardware. The cap is then painstakingly polished to show off the parts inside.

This is called a "Shock Absorber" type pen for obvious reasons. This particular pen uses a black-enameled spring. The cap is a screw-type that normally covers the tip when not in use and can be removed and screwed onto the back of the pen for use.

The look and feel of this particular pen is not for the faint of heart. It requires a certain confidence to display and use but will be impressive and quite the conversation piece!
