Description

Altered pre-loved cardigan created for a more vintage inspired style. This cardie is great for those who love rockabilly, 50s and 60s look and I think it would accent an 1930s frock perfectly. Team it up with your favourite frock, skirt or jeans for an awesome vintage look. While this cardie is size small as can be seen in the photos it will fit up to a size 40" bust for a much more fitted pinup look

It is a preloved cardigan with cute hand dyed embroidered vintage braid to trim around the neckline and has the buttons replaced with gorgeous green bakelite ones. It is a very soft lightweight cardie made from an acrylic blend.

Refunds will only be provided within 14 DAYS of purchase and when item has been returned to myself the seller in the same state as it was listed (I leave my listings in my shop for a good length of time before totally deactivating them) and sent that includes any tags appropriately attached and the refund does not include shipping costs only the purchase price.

Be aware that when buying vintage clothing and accessories there may be slight imperfections that is common due to age and purpose of the item. The greater majority of items are Pre-loved Vintage pieces which means they have been worn or used at least once. It is the aim at The Bohemian Effect to only sell clothing that has no stains or tears etc all garments (unless with attached original tag) are washed and pressed before listing and added to market stock.

Bear in mind that vintage sizing is a size or so smaller in comparison to today's sizing and in regards to ALL handmade garments sizes are given to Australian standards. In the event that an item is wanted but cost requires payment negotiation the buyer will contact me via the contact button on the listing in question. I will negotiate a payment plan that is suitable to the buyer and that fits within a reasonable time frame in regards to cost ie: if an item is more than $200AUD + postage then a reserved and payment time will be 6wks. The longest Reserved/Payment time will be 3mths (most likely only for hand made eventwear, hand made coats or a multiple purchase). For ALL items below $100 incl postage I will Hold for 3 DAYS Only and doesn't require a deposit.

(All Held items will require a third of total cost paid at start of agreement time, and is non refundable after 2weeks.)

FAQs

All of the items from clothing, accessories to any home and garden decor pieces are given full measurements. Authentic vintage and handmade clothing items are measured flat where ever original tagged or pattern details are not provided. Fashion accessories such as hats, bags and shoes are measured from every logical angle.

**Please Note: ALL authentic vintage clothing is sized smaller than modern day sizes and are generally 2 sizes smaller. It is important to consider any other garments such as winter weight pieces like sweaters that you may wear when wearing a coat as this factor will affect the size you choose.

All of my handmade home and garden decor pieces will have complete measurements and dimensions provided in the listing.
I will provide any care instructions for all of my items. These instructions will specifically be regarding the type of item, fabric and it's construction. Any authentic vintage clothing that has original care instructions still attached should be followed. In the case of any items I've personally hand dyed, the dyes used are well known and excellent quality, however there's always an issue of colour fastness therefore care instructions must be followed. I will test dyes on fabrics to ensure there is no excess colour run.

**Please Note: All authentic and faux furs should be stored in a 100% cotton bag (or sheet) and should have sufficient room to prevent rubbing and crushing as these garments do shed their fur.
I am a firm believer in presentation and that first impressions are the start of lasting ones, so I wrap all items in tissue paper (as well as any other packaging required for safe shipping) and present them in a personal and special way. It is always my aim to minimise cost where ever possible so some of my packaging is often recycled ribbons and lace etc.

**Please Note: all packaging and handling costs have been INCLUDED in the cost of shipping not to the items themselves.
All my items are created with various recycled and or upcycled vintage materials, sewing embellishments and a variety of other resources depending on the item. It is important to note that while in some instances I can recreate a design it is most likely that it will not be completely identical to another you have seen in my shop. The reason for this is vintage resources are not in abundance are difficult to source and sometimes rare which means I need to improvise with something similar if possible.
I am able to design and create custom orders for hair accessories and am more than happy to do bespoke pieces that include heirloom treasures you may want to be added for that something extra special. I am also open to redesign a favourite piece of clothing or fashion accessory that you may like to have created to your own specifications. Please contact me for a discussion on your requirements and the details involved in the design process. Once we have worked out what it is you would like designed or recreated I will send you an invoice outlining all the components and costs involved.
While a large percentage of what I design and create is one of a kind. However there are items such as crystal suncatchers, hair accessories and some casual jewelry pieces I can create in small amounts from 5 up to 20 per lot.
