HISTORY- James Ross Bryson was born in Jamestown, Quebec in 1856. He traveled to Europe to study art and later moved to Chicago where he remained for the duration of his professional career. His early works were mainly oil on canvas, his later works were done in pastels. Very few of Bryson’s original works are known to exist, many of them were pastel on paper, making them very fragile, and less likely to survive over the years. Much of his artwork appeared on magazine covers, calendars, postcards, and advertising. He worked for the S.S. Porter Company of Chicago, H.A. Aronson Company and he was a well-known artist for the Thomas D. Murphy Calendar company of Red Oak, Iowa. Bryson's work was considered quite risque for the time.

We ship "same day" or "next day", except weekends, orders placed late Friday night, Saturday or Sunday will be sent out first thing Monday morning.
