Alien franchise was one of the movies that made a huge impact on me when I was younger. I love the whole series, always had and always will, and as a huge fan I am so proud to present my newest creation - alien. After making he went straight to my private display and I am not giving him to anyone, anyone! :) I think he is scary with just a hint of cuteness in him which makes him so perfect, at least for me!
Although I am not giving my finished alien to anyone, anyone! I wrote the pattern and hope you will make a good use of it :) This pattern is for the medium advanced crocheters but if you are ready to try I am always ready to help. You should know basic crochet stitches including chain, slip stitch, single crochet, decrease, increase and how to start with magic ring.

I've put wires in his arms, legs and tail, but if you are doing this as a toy for a child (My little son loves monsters and aliens, but he is afraid of squirrels, true story:) I strongly recommend you to skip wiring, make a safe plush toy instead and sew everything twice as firmly as you would normally do (especially nails and teeth).

For my projects I use yarn which meterage is 174 yards (159 meters) for 50 g, weight Sport / 5 ply (12 wpi), Gauge 24 to 30 st is 4 inches (10 cm) and 3 mm hook (if you can it's recommended to use 2 mm hook to make teeth and claws). If you want you can also prepare a wire.

I made this for a friend’s birthday present. I love how it turned out. I used 16gauge brass wire from the hardware store and it stands up on its own. The pattern was super easy to follow. I used cascade yarns superwash merino in charcoal, black, white, and silver heather.

This was a really simple pattern to follow. Pictures are very clear and instructions were easy to understand. I suggest you try this pattern if you have experience with sewing small parts together. It was a good amount of sewing, but it was not difficult at all. It may seem overwhelming because there are so many separate pieces, but take your time and break this project up into a few days. it took me 3 days and was absolutely worth it. i love the way it turned out! 10/10 :)

This pattern came out great! I used chunky yarn so it would come out a bit larger and it was a perfect gift for a friend :) easy to follow, lots of pieces but wasn't too overwhelming. I did cheat and use felt for the teeth and claws instead of crocheting them individually.

Well written, easy to follow pattern but so much sewing! I had some trouble seeing the pictures, since the Alien is dark and not showing too well on the photos. I didn’t have wire so just stuffed it, so it become a little head heavy, but still stands fine. If you choose to crochet it, prepare yourself for a lot of sewing. Sewing the little parts together was a pain but the finished Alien is so cool.
