What you see is what you get!!

Aeonium tabulaeforme is a Canary Island Aeonium that grows nearly flattened to the ground in a round whorl of many lime green ciliate leaves (edged in soft hairs). In habitat, these plants look like flying saucers scattered all around the terrain. Can grow to nearly 20" in diameter. Porous soil with adequate drainage. Filtered light and ample airflow. Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch. As Aeoniums are summer dormant it is preferable to provide cool shade during dormancy. Protect from frost.

Aeoniums prefer well-drained soil with deep, infrequent watering. It is also not fond of very hot temperatures and does most of it's growing during the cool season (winter). It is semi-dormant in the hottest months, but also has its best color in summer-fall. Hardy to approx. 25 degrees F. but it does need protection from frost and the stems will freeze at about 27-28 degrees F.

Aeoniums are ideal pot plants needing very little other than soil for support and water. Rarely does one need to fertilize these plants. I have rarely over watered an Aeonium and the more frequently I water the ones I have, the better they look. They do not need to deeply watered, as the main water-absorbing roots are near the surface with the deeper roots functioning nearly solely as support.

Soil type is not a big issue with potted plants, but generally Aeoniums perform better in standard potting soils rather than super well draining and nutrient deficient cactus soils.
