Our raw honey comes from our 6 hives in rural Coventry, CT at Fog Hollow Farm. This batch was harvested in the Fall (early November) of 2018 before we winterized the hives.

The bottles in the pictures are the honey bear 8 oz bottle.

Raw honey contains 27 minerals, 22 amino acids and 5,000 live enzymes. It keeps you healthy by fighting disease and boosting the digestive system. One daily spoonful in your tea or spread on your toast is all that is needed to reap these benefits.
Raw honey has many benefits known by humans for centuries. It's no secret! Unprocessed honey, straight from the hive, has been used worldwide for millennium to promote human health and for healing purposes.
There are many known and unknown benefits: Fueling energy for athletes; healthier skin; medicinal purposes; improve sex performance; increase immune system; ANTIBACTERIAL AND ANTIFUNGAL; stomach aches; allergies; improves digestion and constipation; weight control; blood cleansing; helps in the fight against cholesterol and heart disease; insomnia; fatigue and exhaustion; many more benefits to list!

Store raw honey in an airtight glass jar. It is essential that the lid of the jar be secured properly and tightly to preserve the quality of the honey.
Store your jar of raw honey away from direct sunlight. Inside a kitchen cabinet or pantry is ideal.
Avoid storing the honey near appliances that produce heat, like your stove, oven or refrigerator.
Do not microwave your raw honey. The extreme heat will destroy beneficial nutrients.

Most honey will crystallize over time, meaning you can’t see through it anymore, and it becomes less liquid and more solid. This is a natural process for honey, and will happen sooner in some than in others. THIS IS A GOOD THING. It means the honey you bought is raw and of the finest quality. Processed honey takes forever to crystallize, because the pollen - and flavor - has been stripped out. To transform your honey back to a smoother liquid: take the lid off the jar, put it in a pot of hot (not boiling) water, and it’s back in less than 30 minutes.

*More than 75 percent of the honey on American supermarket shelves is not honey at all, but rather an ultra-processed mixture of sugar-water, malt sweeteners, corn or rice syrup, jaggery, barley malt sweetener and other additives, smuggled in from China and tainted with illegal antibiotics and heavy metals, such as lead!
China is the world's largest producer of honey and exports large amounts to the rest of the world.
A study took in France, according to which 10 per cent of the honey consumed in the country is "fraudulent". The samples had been labeled as French, but originated either in China or Eastern Europe.
After a years-long probe named Project Honeygate, US customs busted a honey smuggling ring, in which leading American honey producers smuggled inferior honey from China via Australia to the US.

CAUTION!!! Honey contains a natural presence of botulinum endospores, therefore, children under one year old should not be given honey. Before the age of twelve months, a child’s intestinal track is not mature enough to inhibit the growth of Clostridium botulinum, which is often found in honey. No honey, in any form, should be given to babies younger than one. Should also be avoided if going through chemotherapy. ALWAYS check with your doctor, if sick.
