Description

Antique 1920's Etched Flower and Butterfly design Heisey Glass Co Syrup Pitcher with removable metal lid. This is a very nice pitcher for syrup, cream, or more. It is made of a heavy glass etched with flowers and a butterfly decoration just under the spout and a handle which has been blown, shaped and attached to the pitcher. On the base is a 12 point star; which is part of the trademark of the pitcher. On the left side of the spout is a diamond shape with the H makers mark inside of the diamond

This is a used pitcher and the only wear is on the slight patina on the removable metal lid and where the handle was attached at the top, is what is called a heat fracture; however, it is not broke and you cannot even feel the fracture as it is sealed in the attaching. The handle has 5 small round cutouts which keeps it from slipping while using.

This treasure measures a smidge over 4"inches in height is 3 3/4"inches deep and the base is 3 3/8"inches across. the opening from the spout across towards the handle is 2 1/2"inches and the width from the spout to the edge of the handle is approximately 4 1/2"inches the glass is thick' about 1/4"inch around the spout. The removable lid is 3 3/4"inches spout to handle and has a drop-ring which fits on the top of the pitcher which is about 1/2"inch in a half circle of 1 1/4"inches; the handle is attached to the ring with a spring mechanism. This item weighs almost one pound.
