Fabulous antique undergarment, circa late 1800s. Made of crisp, soft white cotton. Designed to be worn underneath a long skirt in the summertime, these bloomers have wide legs and an open middle section for comfort and breatheability. Slightly angled waistband buttons in back. Again, please note--these bloomers have no middle/crotch section--the legs are cut away and open in this area. Fantastic 7.5" of flat pleats, pintucking, and aesthetic-era eyelet/cutwork/embroidery at the hem of each leg. Such a great piece of garment history!

Lying flat and buttoned, the waistline measures 13" across; the widest part of the leg measures about 15.5" across; leg hem is about 11" across; and these are 32" long. They are in excellent condition for their age; maybe a loose thread here and there, and very very faint yellowing near the leg openings--but that's all I find! They have been soaked and washed in mild unscented detergent.
