From the estate of a collector of fine antiques for your consideration we have a stunning antique Satsuma blue bird vase believed to be from the Meiji period with magnificent dragon handles on a flared rim or trumpet form. Two hand painted floral bird scenes in vibrant colors of gold, red, green, turquoise, and blue on a white ground encompass most of the front, back, and sides leading to bands of slightly raised moriage motif along the exterior of the foot rim as well as the interior and exterior of the flared top opening.

CONDITION: AS IS in age appropriate condition with a hairline crack at the foot rim extending up the side and base, as well as glaze crackling consistent with age and glaze type. Otherwise, no chips or cracks are seen by this seller.
