Vintage Mexican hand-burned suede leather pyrography, depicting the sarcophagus lid of the Mayan ruler of Palenque, King Pakal The Great. The king is depicted falling into the jaws of the Maya underworld, Xibalba. Unsigned, it measures 16" H x 10-1/4" W.
