Description

Judging by the pink and black color combination, this jacket most likely dates from the late 1950's. The padded shoulders and slight peplum are also characteristics of women's fashion at this time.

I'm not sure what the fiber content of the pink fabric and red lining is.

The jacket is in wearable condition:

1) The pink material and red lining are even and unfaded. Any variation from one photo to the other is due to lighting.

2) Both the interior and exterior are free of bad smells and perspiration damage.

3) The jacket still has the original button.

4) There is some pilling on the elbows and the cuffs.

5) There is a 1/2" hole on the inside back of collar.

6) There is a 1" long narrow worn spot on the left front shoulder near the collar.

7) There are two to four worn spots on the top front right shoulder.

8) There is a vertical row of holes 1/2" to 1/8" in size on the right front breast.

9) There two 1/4" worn spots on the top front right sleeve near the armhole.

10) There is a 1/4" hole on the top back right sleeve.

11) There is 1/8" hole on the back right sleeve cuff.

12) There is 3/4" triangular stain with some tears on the lining near the hem.

All measurements are taken while the jacket is lying flat on a table:

1) The bust is 17 1/2" (35").

2) The waist is 15" (30").

3) The length from the top of the shoulder to the hem is 21 1/2".

4) The width across the top back of the shoulders is 15".

5) The length of the sleeve from the top of the armhole seam to the cuff is 22".
