Genuine leather shoulder purse with Hawaiian style designs. This is a great reminder for the islander stuck on the main-land!

The triangle design, called the "niho mano", symbolizes shark teeth. There are many meanings to "niho mano" and in this case it is meant as a protective symbol for the wearer and the valuables inside.

The hibiscus represents beauty, nature, and feminine power.

Inside the purse is a single zippered pouch dividing the purse in half. The purse is about 13 inches (33.02 cm) long and 9.5 inches (24.13 cm) tall. The width is approximately 5 inches (12.7 cm) at the base and tapers up to the top at about 3 inches (7.62 cm), but expands open due to the accordion-fold. Hand laced using the double loop method around the edges.

The price includes shipping within the United States; the shipping costs will be calculated upon checkout for international orders.

Durable, hand made, and ready to take a beating! Mahalo nui!

Yes I do take custom orders! Please contact me and let me know what you have in mind. I do my best to be honest and open. If you request something that I feel is out of my abilities at the moment I will let you know and also do what I can to point you to someone who could fulfill your dream piece.
For leather items I will include a care/instruction sheet if necessary. In general you can find leather care instructions online. If it is something that has a special coating/finish I will include that in the care/instruction sheet.
I am a horrible gift wrapper, so I do not provide this service.

I will often pack an item with reused/recyclable materials to try to minimize my impact on the Earth. Please help me do a little bit to help out, recycle the packing or reuse it.
Nope. I'm just one guy, in a small space making art.
On many of my pieces I will primarily use USPS flat rate shipping. I find that it provides many benefits such as speedy delivery, tracking info, and also insurance.

I also prefer to include shipping in the price to make it easier for me, as well as letting you know the full cost of the item. Though with a new law passed US Customers will see a tax added onto your purchase. This is a federal law and Etsy will be collecting the tax based upon the state's rates in which you reside.
There are many leathercrafters out there who say that blemishes (bug bites, brands, bullet holes, etc.) should never be included in a piece. They will often cut those off and use the leather as scrap.

I feel that these "blemishes" add character and also respect the animal from which it came. Those marks tell part of its story. So I do include them on items. However, I will never include a blemish if it hinders a piece's function/longevity. If a piece has one of these "blemishes" I will put that in the description so you know what you are getting.
I have had a strange relationship with death that has given me some regrets and left me with questions. For each of my grandparents' deaths I was not able to be there before they passed, one because I was young and made a mistake, the other because I was halfway across the earth in the Philippines. As I am exploring this relationship for myself it has lead me on a journey of discovering my mixed heritage. I also saw that I am not alone and I felt that I could provide a way for people to go through their own process. Why does American society portray death and skulls as evil? It is a natural process that we will all experience. I make what I make to honor the life of that being.

I am trying to recognize the impermanence of all things.
