Description

A tall and modern fruit bowl with handles, this bowl is perfect for clementines, lemons, limes, apples, etc. It's a stoneware clay, with neon yellow, pink, lavender, and white plaid painted on, then fired with a clear glaze.

It's 4-1/2 inches tall at the rim, 7 inches tall at the handles, with a 5-1/2 inch wide opening.

Throwing Pots as the Children Sleep

I like my ceramics very functional—I live with two kids, so I don't make bowls that can be easily tipped over and spilled. I also live with a glorious but obnoxious cat named Roger (see my Instagram @nBaxterPottery for photos). So, I like my vases and more importantly, coffee mugs to have wider bases that he can't knock over. Everything I make is food-, microwave-, and dishwasher-safe.

My forms are loose—I don't like anything to precise and I like my pots to exude a sense of humor, but I am not really sure how or if that translates to anyone. I don't want them to look too serious and I want you to be able to tell they are handmade.

I throw my pots in my basement about every other night when it's my husband's turn to put the kids to bed. I glaze and fire them at Fired Up Studio in Minneapolis.

Thank YOU for checking my shop out, favoriting my items, and of course making purchases. I REALLY appreciate it and each follow, favorite, and sale means A LOT.

Love love love this pour over! It is thick, sturdy and very well designed. It works better than the store bought ones as it has 2 large holes, not a row which line right up with the filter fold, making it hard to drip through. And it's absolutely beautiful and handmade.

I also had the chance to meet Nicole in person and she is awesome! So glad I could support her and her work!
