Description

Vintage 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition, Chicago, George Barrie Print by the artist E. Toudouze.

The paper is embossed with the Exposition symbol at the lower left, with Geo. Barrie 1893 copyright at the top of the image area. George Barrie was a printer and publisher who produced etchings and prints in the 1890s from art work exhibited at the Exposition.

The black/white image is a wonderful Victorian depiction of a mother rocking her sleeping baby in a cradle suspended from a tree. Toys are scattered about on the ground. The mother wears an interesting ethnic outfit.

The image area is just over 7-5/8” X 11-1/8”. The paper (a heavy weight paper) is 11-5/8” X 17”. Paper edges and border areas have yellowing, dinginess and some spots. Edges also have various small tears and bits of paper gone at corner tips, along with some edge creasing. The actual image area is clean.

This will ship by Priority Mail in the U.S. or First Class International to other countries.

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS - PLEASE NOTE! VAT is NOT included in price for this item!

Always happy to combine shipping. Just let me know which items you want to combine and I will let you know the S&H cost. Please see our Profile and Shipping Policies for other info.
