I have been using reclaimed hemlock where i had to mill down the board, but i just didnt have the heart to toss the outer weathered pieces into the scrap bin. The boards came from south western New York from a barn that was estimated to be atleast 100+ years old. The pictures can be deceiving, these are not solid pieces built into a frame. These are thin pieces of hemlock glued to a white pine frame. The outer dimensions are 8 3/4 in X 6 3/4 in. The window can hold a 4 X 6. Please feel free to send along any questions you may have!
