The Lucky Sixpence was originally to be given to the bride from her father and placed in her left shoe. He did this to wish her all the blessings a father can give to his daughter. It was to symbolize good health for the couple as well as great wealth. Most important is was to ensure his daughter happiness. It is then typically passed down from generation to generation in a family.

Today the Wedding Sixpence is given to the bride from many sources. It is a popular bridal shower gift, a lovely gift from the bride's father, and is also a keepsake and family heirloom handed down from mother to daughter or father to daughter.

Our sixpences are vintage and circulated condition with love marks from time gone by. You will receive a random year.

You can leave it blank or I can engrave 2 initials & a ♥ or & (ex: J♥B / J&B ) or I can stamp a year (ex: 2017) or a 6 number date (ex: 12.20.70) of your choice.

ONLY 1 side can be engraved.

MEASUREMENTS: A sixpence is the size of an American dime. It can be safely placed in the left shoe as the tradition goes without much discomfort.

*Love marks: are marks from time gone by. There could be a scratch, a chip, ink, paint, dent, patinas, dust, dirt, water marks, etc. Basically any mark from being used & loved by somebody before you.

➤Do not wear while bathing or swimming. Take care not to expose it to water. This will prolong the life of your jewelry and prevent reactions with chemicals from soaps and chlorine from discoloring it.

➤Do not use jewelry cleaner, it is very harsh! It can take off finishes on fashion jewelry & will remove patinas from sterling silver.

➤Remove jewelry at the end of every day & wipe gently with a very soft cloth to remove dirt & body oil.

Proper care of jewelry will ensure their long life. The Lonely Heart is not responsible for damages caused to products through use & misuse.

Loved the tradition of having a sixth pence on my wedding day. Looked great in photos and the packaging was gorgeous and totally added to the product! I used most of the packing it came in as apart of the detail photos it was so pretty. Great keepsake from our wedding day!

I received the first coin very promptly. The coin looked great, but the stamp was off-centered. I contacted the shop owner the following morning with my concerns. She answered almost immediately and offered to redo it free of charge - she even sent me a photo of the new coin before she sent it. She notified me later that day that she had put it in the mail, and upon receipt it's absolutely PERFECT! A huge thank you to Brandee for her extremely prompt and AMAZING customer service! I am SO excited to have this be a special part in my big day! <3
