The pattern is for a very well dressed 11 "March Hare. He is based on the March Hare from Alice in Wonderland with straw in his hair.

A quote from Alice by the author Lewis Carroll “that’s the March Hare with the long ears, and straws mixed up with his hair. The straws showed he was mad–I don’t know why. Never twist up straws among your hair, for fear people should think you’re mad!"

He is 11" tall to the top of his head, fully jointed and my choice of materials is a medium length , medium density mohair. I go into quite a bit of detail in this tutorial and there are many helpful pictures in the 23 pages of instructions. There are also 7 pages of the pattern for the hare, his jacket, trousers, and neck tie. I also show how I shaded the fur, made the headpiece from string and more.

E-Pattern is presented in PDF format and contains instructions, pattern, material list necessary for making him and shading technique. Instructions are in English.

Patterns are not to be reproduced for commercial purposes. You are welcome to sell the finished bears you make from this pattern, but please mention that he is a Hampton Bears design.

Upon payment the files for the pattern will be immediately available to you to print on A4 size paper which is 11 1/2" x 8 1/4" or if in the US you can print on legal paper which is 8 1/2" x 14" .

Took me a couple of goes to get the head right. Also first time I've ever made anything jointed! I did look for help online to work out the cotter pins, which certainly helped. Thoroughly enjoyed making this little Hare, & will certainly be looking at other patterns from this seller.
