Offering a vintage hard cover, pictorial cook book, published in 1934 by Procter and Gamble and written by Sarah Field Splint.

Wonderful and entertaining cookbook written for the homemaker, focusing on modern cooking and serving during the 1930's.

Chapters on table serving in the servantless house, or alternatively, with a servant, cooking equipment of the time, planning meals, table setting, choosing glass ware, china, silverware, and napkins.

Over 549 tested recipes, most using Crisco Oil. Soups, eggs, fish, meat and poultry, vegs. sauces, breads, salads, desserts, large quantity specialty dishes, spring, summer, autumn and winter menus, and menus for special occasions, time tables and charts. Also many black and white and color photos.

Book measures 5" X 7 1/2". Stained and yellowed with time. No missing or destroyed pages but front cover has a straight line separation from spine 2" at top and 1" at bottom.

This book is old and battered but very readable and usable.
