The necklace measures 16 1/4" in length, made to fit a little lower than a choker so that the tribal centerpiece face rests right below your neck on your chest.

Made from hand forged segments of copper wire, wrapped and then oxidized, and combined with ceramic and red wooden beads I dyed myself, and small segments of chainmaille, and a matching oxidized copper lobsterclaw clasp, this piece is one of a kind. For contrast, just a little bit of sterling silver wire has been wrapped between some of the beads.

There is nothing like the richness of copper to create depth in a handcrafted piece of jewelry. Copper is one of the few really pure metals.

After oxidation, each one of these links is carefully polished to let just the right amount of the metal shine through to give it an ancient artifact look.

He goes this way and that, legs all akimbo! It's the Medicine Man, come to heal all your ills and woes. Let him make you smile each day of the week, or give him to someone who you want to feel better or to give strength to.

This tribal style piece combines elegance yet an indigenous look for the perfect balance of strength and beauty. It's organic without being too primitive.
