This soldered glass charm is a miniature, wearable version of a gold star service banner.

In 1918, President Woodrow Wilson approved the Service Banner to be displayed in homes where proud families waited for their sons to return from war. The gold star was used in replacement of the blue star to honor the service men and women who had made the supreme sacrifice for their country.
This charm can be worn alone as a necklace or with other charms. It can also be used on a charm bracelet.

The charm is soldered with lead-free silver gleem solder and measures approximately 3/4"X1".

****Also available with BLUE star****

**** The charm is sealed with solder, but not necessarily waterproof.
