Description

This beautiful and unique pole-arm sword is for sale. I really like to showcase my work. Thusly, I can display my work and get some feedback.
This sword could use a good home. I have made and enjoyed creating this sword.

Now I will move on to my next awesome project.

This sword is very sharp, tough, and light.
It was made from a stock of 5160 spring steel. Several days were used to develop the thin and uniquely curved blade. With much time spent sanding the blade to a fine scratch free surface. It has two 2 custom painted saya. It has two tsuba guards. The other unique aspect of this sword is its duality function. It is a sword and also a pole-arm. It can be attached to my custom made wooden staffs to create a long reach weapon.
To access the attachment point for the pole-arm simply pull out the bottom mekugi and screw off the bottom handle. Which also exposes a secret function.
This sword has it all!!!

Hand forged and shaped. Normalized 3 times and air cooled. Heated & hardened the blade in oil. Then tempered the blade. Polished the blade.
The saya handle is secured snuggly to the blade. Yet the handle can be removed. The guard doesn't rattle.
It has been signed in Japanese Hiragana my name and the date of creation.

The specifications are as follow:
-5160 carbon spring steel
-30"inch end to end, 18 1/2"inch blade, 11 1/2" walnut wood tsuka
-deep 2.5in" reverse sori
-1 1/8" wide,
-a fine polish to 2000 grit
-numerous layers and urethane clear on the saya
-steel mekugi
-steel tsuba with aged patina
-hardwood osage orange & ironwood ascent pieces

This sword also has a optional package to replace the blade. ($1600) No matter what type of incident. In the near or distant future. Just send back the blade and the handle. Replacement time should be under 1 month. All efforts will be made to create a blade that fits into the previous handle and the previous saya. That is not guaranteed. Only the replacement blade and a fitting tsuka (handle) is guaranteed.
