Mokume Gane Pendant, Polymer Clay and Vintage Cabochon and Czech Beads, Shades of Green, Unique Jewelry, Mother's Day Gift Idea

Description

I made this pendant using a technique called mokume gane. This is a layering technique first developed by Japanese metalsmiths. I layer various colors of clay and manipulate the layers in such a way that each slice of the clay reveals a new pattern. It is fascinating and no two are ever exactly the same! I then add textures and details to add interest.

It would make a beautiful Mother's day gift too and gift wrapping is available. :)

The pendant also features a beautiful blue vintage cabochon. The cabochon is mirrored and reflects light beautifully making it appear to glow.

The pendant measures 1.75" in diameter and hangs from a 22.5" silver chain. If you would like a shorter length let me know in the notes to seller.

It will be carefully packaged in a white presentation box inside of a bubble mailer and will ship USPS First Class Mail within 2 business days of purchase.

Thank you for your interest!

Tutorial was fun and helpful. I'm ramping up to start creating my own sun catcher tiles. Some good ideas for textures and layering that can be used in other (non-seaside) themes. Good photos and easy step by step.
