Kantha stitching originated in India and is based primarily upon a simple running stitch. It was originally used to stitch layers of sari silk together to make blankets. This little book provides a short history of kantha as well as 10 full size patterns. You are guided through the techniques required and the equipment needed. The patterns include hearts, animals, plants and a paisley design. This book is a perfect introduction to kantha embroidery (or kantha quilting).

The book is A5 in size and consists of 32 pages (including cover). All patterns are full size and pictures are in colour.
