Description

"The opposite of war isn't peace, it's creation"

Even in the darkest times, there is always hope for rebuilding. Let this original artwork remind you of that daily.

This original painting is 8"x10" on hot-press watercolor paper. The medium is mostly watercolor with some acrylic.

Watercolors are best stored behind glass, but if you do not want to frame it, I also seal it to protect against UV damage. Should you choose not to frame it, be aware that the paper is not perfectly flat.

Note that the frame is not included in the sale.

Like the art, but not the price? I have prints available in different sizes! Please select one of the variations to receive a giclee print on a matte photographic paper. Please note that for the 8x10 giclee print, you can choose to have a small white border on the outside or no border.

Etsy keeps your payment information secure. Etsy shops never receive your credit card information.
Custom orders need to be paid for in advance. I will work out the pricing & design of each custom item with you, then create a custom listing.

Returns & exchanges

If you change your mind and want to return your item, I will refund your purchase and you just need to pay for shipping to send it back to me. Your money will be refunded via Paypal.

Custom made items cannot be refunded. Sorry!

Any thermochromic items that are damaged/do not change color due to temperature abuse (care instructions were not followed correctly) cannot be returned.

The paint used on mugs should be dishwasher safe, but it is recommended that they be carefully handwashed. If you experience damage from washing, I will replace your item, but you need to pay for shipping again.

If your package is lost or damaged in shipping, I will make you another item, but you need to pay for shipping again.

Shipping policies

Shipping times vary greatly on "in stock" and "made to order" items. A general guideline to when I ship from date of purchase:
In stock item: Within 3 days
Out of stock print: Within 3 days
Made to order painted mug: Within 5 days
Made to order clay item: Within 5 days
Made to order fine art painting (watercolor or acrylic): 2 weeks
Made to order fine art painting (oil): 2-4 weeks
Made to order sewn item: 2-4 weeks (depending on item)
Made to order knit item: 3+ weeks (depending on item)

A timeline and pricing will be discussed with you before you buy for all made to order items! If you need an item earlier, please discuss your needs with me. If the timeline is feasible, I will add a fee for rush processing.

If you want delivery confirmation, please let me know.

I usually ship in pre-used boxes, but if you want a new box, please let me know. Send me an email after you've purchased, or send me a convo on Etsy.

Additional policies

Please note that these items are hand-crafted -- the item you receive may be slightly different than the picture! If you want, I can send you a picture of the completed object before I ship it.

If an item is returned to me because it was undeliverable, and you still want the item, you simply need to pay for shipping again and I will send it to you.

If you decide that you no longer want it, I will refund you the money you paid, except for the shipping.

FAQs

For a few reasons. 1) The thermochromic pigment is very new and there are few vendors. It's much more expensive than regular paint. 2) Thermochromic pigment involves much more work than regular paint. It is a powder that must be mixed with a base. The process also involves many more layers and much more planning/trial and error than regular paint, which means it takes longer to paint.
A card should come with each item, detailing the care instructions (if applicable). The care instructions should also be on individual listings. If you are still unsure, feel free to ask!
Sometimes I may be able to ship much earlier than I advertise! In fact, I strive to. However, I do work a full time job, so cannot always ship the same day as a purchase is made.

As always, if you have a specific deadline, please let me know and I will try my best to accommodate!
There is no additional fee for a custom order! You give me all the details of what you are looking for. I will work with you to make sure we are both on the same page. I will then tell you a price and put up a listing for your custom order. Once you purchase your listing, I will begin working on your item. I can send you a photograph of the finished item before shipment.

Here is a rough estimate of made to order timelines for different items:
Made to order painted mug: Within 5 days
Made to order clay item: Within 5 days
Made to order fine art painting (watercolor or acrylic): 2 weeks
Made to order fine art painting (oil): 2-4 weeks
Made to order sewn item: 2-4 weeks depending on item
Made to order knit item: 3+ weeks depending on item
