Details

Limited Edition Print

Title: Bluegill
Size: 11” x 8”

Beautifully detailed and vibrantly colored print of original Bluegill fish rubbing.

Image is printed on 100% cotton acid-free fine art paper with fade resistant archival ink. Each print is signed and numbered from a Limited Edition Series. Print will be shipped in a mailing tube.

A wide assortment of original fish rubbings and other limited edition prints are also available. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more information.

Gyotaku Process
In my style of Gyotaku fish rubbings, the actual fish is my canvas. I apply colorful acrylic paint to the fish itself. Once completed, cloth or handmade paper is pressed onto the surface of the fish. When the cloth or paper is removed, you are left with a beautiful impression. My goal is to give the fish beauty by using vivid, life-like color. I give special attention to the exquisite anatomy of the different fish species and to the details that make each fish unique. I hope you enjoy these fish rubbings as much as I enjoy creating them for you!

NOTE: The last two photos above do not represent this piece of art. They are being used to demonstrate the gyotaku process.
