Silver Heart Fingerprint Charm or Pendant - Capture your loved ones fingerprints or footprints and turn them into beautiful, artful, wearable jewelry. These timeless pieces will touch the hearts of those who receive your gift, or design a special piece for yourself. I offer many designs to choose from, or you can create your own.

This design is made with fine silver or sterling silver and includes 1 fingerprint charm with a jump ring. I typically recommend fine silver for necklaces and sterling silver for bracelets and keychains. The charm in the photos above measures approx. 5/8" and you have 3 sizes to choose from. I will add a small heart to the back with up to 3 initials at no additional charge. If you choose to not have any initials, the heart will be left off and the back will be lightly textured. If you want the back engraved with more than just initials please order the "Double-Side" option.

Please send your fingerprint image by clicking on the Message The Seller link, then click on the photo icon inside your message box. You may also email them to ATimelessImpression [!at] gmail.com. A photograph of your fingerprint will typically work better than a scan. Most people use their smart phones, and this works very well, as long as the photo is well focused and in good lighting.. If you need assistance obtaining the a good print, please contact me for easy to follow instructions.

The easiest method for capturing your fingerprints is with pencil, tape and paper. Most fingerprint jewelry listings include a photo showing instructions. Once you have your prints, I prefer a photo of the prints vs. a scan, which tends to soften the lines. Most people use their smart phone and this works very well as long as the photos are well focused and in good lighting.

~ Fine silver is .999 pure silver. It is brighter in color and because it does not contain any copper, it will not tarnish. It still needs to be cleaned periodically and if not cared for properly, it will darken over time. Fine silver is a bit softer than sterling silver so I don't recommend it for bracelets, keychains or if it will rub against a lot of other charms.
~ Sterling silver is .950 silver, which means it contains approx. 5% copper. Copper adds strength to silver, but it also causes it to tarnish more quickly. With proper care, your piece will stay bright and shiny, but if not periodically cleaned, it will tarnish. While sterling silver is stronger than fine silver, it will still scratch if not cared for properly.
