● None of our vintage china, porcelain or pottery have chips, hairline cracks or repairs UNLESS otherwise noted in the item description &/or photo(s)! We usually try to steer away from acquiring damaged items, however sometimes a piece is so special that a flaw above and beyond normal vintage wear is worth it, in which cases the chip, hairline crack or repair will be noted in the description &/or the photos. Full disclosure is invariably the policy of 222nest. If you see something in the photos for which you'd like more explanation or a closer inspection undertaken, we are happy to do a triple-check (even though we've already done a double-check) of the item in good faith to provide more details prior to purchase because something that is important to you in terms of condition may not be to me and vice versa. My goal is for you to be happy with any purchase you decide to make at 222nest.

● It is important to keep in mind that VINTAGE and ANTIQUE items are NOT NEW. Wear is considered part of their charm! Even when an item is in 'excellent vintage condition', it will probably not be in the same condition as it was the day it was made. Vintage items were made two plus decades ago so please expect at least a minimum of normal mild wear. If items that are no longer flawless make your eye twitch, vintage may just not be for you (and that's okay - but please shop New elsewhere).

● We do not do clothing exchanges or returns (even if it is based on a fit issue), so please choose wisely. Please contact us before ordering with sizing concerns or for more information - on the material/fabric for example - to be sure it is just as you imagine. We are more than happy to take additional measurements for you if requested before placing an order as we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase!

● Prior to making a purchase, read the description and examine all the photos carefully (with zoom) as they clearly present the item. We encourage you to ask any questions you may have or request additional photos BEFORE making a purchase. Each of our items are carefully examined with a serious eye for detail then described as accurately as possible short of getting out a microscope (we do use a loupe in some cases though). As previously stated, any damage or legitimate flaws outside normal vintage wear/patina - such as hairline cracks/chips/repairs in china or major dents/scratches in furniture - will be invariably noted if present, however describing every minute detail is not a possibility as VINTAGE IS NOT AN EXACT SCIENCE. In view of the foregoing, :: All Sales Are Final. :: All items are sold As Is in As Found condition. :: No refunds (partial or otherwise), exchanges or warranty. ::

● Items will only be considered for return if you received completely the wrong item in error (which is an unlikely event). You must send us photos of the item(s) through an Etsy convo within 3 business days of delivery for a resolution to be considered. Please do not wait a month after receipt to contact us if there is a problem as by then we will be unable to assist. Items returned without prior authorization from 222nest will not be refunded in whole or in part. If 222nest WERE to grant a return authorization (in an ultra rare, hypothetical scenario), shipping would be buyer's responsibility and non-refundable. The item would need to be sent with tracking, full insurance, delivery confirmation and in original box(es) with all original packaging materials and clearly marked as a return of vintage goods so no import duties would be levied. It would need to be received at 222nest within a week of return agreement. Any damage - including in transit - which reduced the value of the item would be subtracted from any refund.

● If you purchase a listing which is Reserved for someone else or noted as Sold which necessitates me having to spend time refunding your money & re-listing the item - AS WELL AS reassuring the original Buyer than I have not allowed someone else to purchase their item - there will be a $10US administration fee subtracted from your refund.

The added weight/box size does add cost to the shipping rate, but you generally can't replace a vintage item, so we spend a little more time making it extremely safe for whatever it might encounter on its journey to you, rather than skimping and regretting it. Please be clear that if an item does sustain damage of any sort in transit, 222nest cannot be held responsible, but we can file a claim with Canada Post for you to at least hopefully get the shipping reimbursed.

● FedEx covers damage to Fragile items in their care up to $1,000CDN and UPS up to $5,000CDN, so if you would prefer to ship your item(s) with them, convo us and we will arrange it. FedEx & UPS rates are more expensive than Canada Post, so Buyers need to weigh the pros and cons of peace of mind and then let us know your shipping carrier of choice PRIOR to purchase. Depending on the item you have purchased, if it is damaged in transit, it may end up costing you far more than paying for a higher shipping rate up front would have!

● Vintage items have usually – and antique have always - experienced colourful lives prior to arriving at 222nest which means there may be crazing, patina, rust present. Like laugh lines on people! Through both photos & descriptions, we clearly document any chips/cracks in china - IF present - visible to the naked eye or major dents in metal/wooden objects beyond normal vintage wear. Attempting to describe every miniscule sign of use is probably not going to happen though, so it is best to be prepared for a baseline of mild wear since vintage items were made at least 20 years ago and antique items 100 years ago or more. All items sold As Is. We answer additional questions you need to be confident prior to making a purchase with us. If you’d like to see more photos BEFORE a purchase, we are happy to accommodate. Transparency is our aim for every item!

● Vintage and antique items cannot be 100% guaranteed. There are no warranties expressed or implied. Vintage items are unpredictable. Clocks, for example, may have a long history of operating altogether tickety-boo, then one day just stop. Crazing (cracks running through the glaze) in china adds character with authentic charm and is to usually be expected with vintage china, porcelain and pottery. Electrical items, such as lighting fixtures, will have the original wiring unless otherwise noted, so even when in working condition, we recommend having them re-wired/examined by your electrician prior to use to be on the safe side (and they will not ship with light bulbs unless otherwise noted).

● There may be slight variations between the exact colour of the item and the photo depending on screen settings. While all our items are vintage (at least 20yrs+) or antique (at least 100yrs+), the exact year an item was made is usually unknown in which case we research an approximation.

● Items are stored in a climate controlled and non-smoking environment. China & glassware is hand-washed in warm water with mild dish soap upon arrival at our premises. Images and text are the property of 222nest and may not be reproduced without expressed permission. Communication through avenues other than Etsy convos will not be acknowledged for security reasons. Also, we respect your privacy so will only ever use your contact information to communicate with you about your current order unless you've made a specific request for me to search for a specific item for you in my travels.

● Mutual respect and fairness is appreciated. The Policies and Listings of 222nest may be modified or revoked at our sole discretion without notice. We reserve the right to refuse a sale or cancel a transaction. Harassment and spam will be reported to Etsy immediately. ❘❘❙❙❚❚ Basically there is no real standard grading system for describing condition of vintage chinaware which is why I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have PRIOR to purchase to provide all pertinent details since everyone has different areas of focus - what is important to you may not be to me - plus provide additional photos if requested PRIOR to purchase. Potential buyers should read the conditional description of the piece being made available AS WELL AS view ALL listing photos WITH ZOOM & only THEN make an informed decision on a piece before making the final choice of purchase. Once the purchase has been made, semantics from buyers surrounding condition phraseology will be neither entertained nor acknowledged. Grading is a subjective art, so the following terminology is how the quality vintage & antique items offered by 222nest will be graded:
MINT CONDITION: As made or like new condition. Is new 'dead' stock and may even have an original box. Will be free of chips, cracks, discolouration/stains, repairs, or similar damage or wear. Normal crazing & factory flaws are acceptable.
EXCELLENT CONDITION: No chips, cracks or repairs.
GREAT CONDITION: Very good shape & free from major defects, cracks, stains or repairs. Minor surface patina, slight wear or minor surface scratching is acceptable.
GOOD CONDITION: Very presentable state. May have defects consistent with age such as minor discoloration, minor wear to gold gilding/decoration, minor knife and fork scratches, minor restoration.
FAIR CONDITION: An item that is not necessarily of great value/has been devalued due to damages which have occurred over the decades (such as chips, cracks, stains &/or unprofessional repairs), but still has some collector &/or design value. The same piece in excellent condition would have a significantly higher value.

● Vintage items have usually – and antique have always - experienced colourful lives prior to arriving at 222nest which means there may be crazing, patina, rust present. Like laugh lines on people! Through both photos & descriptions, we clearly document any chips/cracks in china - IF present - visible to the naked eye or major dents in metal/wooden objects beyond normal vintage wear. Attempting to describe every miniscule sign of use is probably not going to happen though, so it is best to be prepared for a baseline of mild wear since vintage items were made at least 20 years ago and antique items 100 years ago or more. All items sold As Is. We answer additional questions you need to be confident prior to making a purchase with us. If you’d like to see more photos BEFORE a purchase, we are happy to accommodate. Transparency is our aim for every item!

● Vintage and antique items cannot be 100% guaranteed. There are no warranties expressed or implied. Vintage items are unpredictable. Clocks, for example, may have a long history of operating altogether tickety-boo, then one day just stop. Crazing (cracks running through the glaze) in china adds character with authentic charm and is to usually be expected with vintage china, porcelain and pottery. Electrical items, such as lighting fixtures, will have the original wiring unless otherwise noted, so even when in working condition, we recommend having them re-wired/examined by your electrician prior to use to be on the safe side (and they will not ship with light bulbs unless otherwise noted).

● There may be slight variations between the exact colour of the item and the photo depending on screen settings. While all our items are vintage (at least 20yrs+) or antique (at least 100yrs+), the exact year an item was made is usually unknown in which case we research an approximation.

● Items are stored in a climate controlled and non-smoking environment. China & glassware is hand-washed in warm water with mild dish soap upon arrival at our premises. Images and text are the property of 222nest and may not be reproduced without expressed permission. Communication through avenues other than Etsy convos will not be acknowledged for security reasons. Also, we respect your privacy so will only ever use your contact information to communicate with you about your current order unless you've made a specific request for me to search for a specific item for you in my travels.

❘❘❙❙❚❚ Basically there is no real standard grading system for describing condition of vintage chinaware which is why I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have PRIOR to purchase to provide all pertinent details since everyone has different areas of focus - what is important to you may not be to me - plus provide additional photos if requested PRIOR to purchase. Potential buyers should read the conditional description of the piece being made available AS WELL AS view ALL listing photos WITH ZOOM & only THEN make an informed decision on a piece before making the final choice of purchase. Once the purchase has been made, semantics from buyers surrounding condition phraseology will be neither entertained nor acknowledged. Grading is a subjective art, so the following terminology is how the quality vintage & antique items offered by 222nest will be graded:
MINT CONDITION: As made or like new condition. Is new 'dead' stock and may even have an original box. Will be free of chips, cracks, discolouration/stains, repairs, or similar damage or wear. Normal crazing & factory flaws are acceptable.
EXCELLENT CONDITION: No chips, cracks or repairs.
GREAT CONDITION: Very good shape & free from major defects, cracks, stains or repairs. Minor surface patina, slight wear or minor surface scratching is acceptable.
GOOD CONDITION: Very presentable state. May have defects consistent with age such as minor discoloration, minor wear to gold gilding/decoration, minor knife and fork scratches, minor restoration.
FAIR CONDITION: An item that is not necessarily of great value/has been devalued due to damages which have occurred over the decades (such as chips, cracks, stains &/or unprofessional repairs), but still has some collector &/or design value. The same piece in excellent condition would have a significantly higher value.

We ship worldwide! Convo us if your locale isn't listed. Determining shipping cost in advance is tricky without knowing the destination in conjunction with weight/size & delivery speed/insurance coverage which is why shipping figures are estimates. We do our best to describe & photograph our items as accurately as possible because we aim for pleasant transactions (obviously), but PLEASE keep in mind these are vintage items which have been PREVIOUSLY OWNED + ENJOYED. Due to people unfortunately not actually following through after I agree to re-work listings to be specifically tailored for exactly the item they want, I am no longer willing to separate items out of listings when they are already grouped together in a collection. For example, if someone wants just the hand mirror from a dresser set but not the brush, going forward the set will be remaining together & not available as individual pieces. Plus, in the majority of cases, dividing an item out from a collection for purchase on its own is not that much cheaper anyway than just buying the complete listing as is.
