Magnifies the contents! I have taken a hand blown glass bauble and filled it with star sand from Okinawa Japan, black sand and a tiny starfish. Reminds me of Van Gogh's "Starry Night". They move freely inside and you can inspect the contents closer by looking through the back where they are magnified. Just a gentle shake and the encased items surface to the top. Truly a conversational piece of jewelry. Great gift for the ocean lover, nature lover, or the beach bum.

The sand terrarium arrived in a little bag that was inside box a cute box. I would have given more stars because the concept of taking the beach with you is so cool and the tiny starfish and the sand dollar inside is adorable, but you can hardly see them because there is too much sand inside. Really wish there was little less sand.

Bought this as a gift for my neice. Arrived in a super cute box and I received it within a few days. Very pretty. Looked exactly like it was pictured. Nice, heavy chain. Very satisfied.
