Item details

nylon coated braided steel beading wire, old yellow African trade beads, bitto flower beads, hematite, sterling silver leverback earrrings, sterling silver wire, old high grade silver Sahrawi club amulets

Drop length: 2.75 Inches

These tribal nomad earrings are made with many antique trade beads from Africa. The large yellow beads, and brick red flower "bitto" beads were crafted somewhere between 1900-1910 and traded throughout the continent.

Hematite disks finish off these yellow trade bead earrings, and two high grade antique tribal silver Sahrawi club amulets worn by the nomads of Morocco dangle freely at the bottom.

These are not flawless beads, they are very old and show their age with chips and gauges, and a weathered patina worthy of a post apocalyptic world. I showed the most rustic sides of these beads in Photos 3 and 4.

These club earrings hang 2.75 inches (7 cm) from .925 sterling silver lever backs. They weigh 7 grams each, the equivalent of 1 American nickel and 1 American dime.

One of a kind.
