These chemicals will break down the alloys in the metal and may leave the surface with pits or a dull finish. Avoid direct contact with perfumes and lotions as they may also affect the finish.
Aluminum is a very light weight and soft metal, everyday wear may cause small scratches over time, but nothing that is very noticeable. Be sensible with your piece, maybe take it off if you're sky diving or building a house!

Most pieces offered by HarperLeeJewelry are custom and personalized keepsakes. For this reason, we are unable to accept returns/exchanges unless a mistake has been made, on our part, when creating your order. I am diligent about referring to order notes when creating every order, but I am human. If a mistake (misspelling/wrong date) has been made, please contact me within 3 business days so that I may correct the problem as soon as possible.
I have done my very best to describe each item in detail, and to capture the details of the items, including size, in my photos and listing descriptions. Please keep in mind that every aspect of my designs are handmade. They are not mass produced by a machine. I want very piece that HLJ produces to be unique and amazing! If the item you receive is not the quality you expected, please contact me (THROUGH ETSY CONVO ONLY), and we can discuss how to rectify the problem. I want your purchase to be a great experience:). However, due to the personalized nature of my pieces, refunds are not an option unless a mistake is made by me when creating your piece.

Your copper, nu gold, sterling, and brass jewelry will need to be polished. I include a sample polishing cloth with your purchase, please use it to clean your jewelry if it starts to change color.

Remove your jewelry when cleaning, swimming and taking a shower. Do not expose your jewelry to any product that contains bleach, ammonia, alcohol, fingernail polish removers that contain acetone, and turpentine (perfumes, lotions). Keep your jewelry as dry as possible.
